I was intrigued by Krysta's column in New Spirit this month, so I thought I'd ask if anyone else out there is gardening this summer and see how other folks are incorporating their spirituality or their connection with nature into their gardening.
I am trying an experiment to grow watermelons, which normally don't grow well here on the rainy west side of the Cascades. (I have planted seedlings for a mini variety that mature fast.) I'd love to get any suggestions -- on an energetic, nature spirit, or gardening level -- for maximizing their chances to grow. I'd be delighted to give your suggestions a try and report back as the season progresses. Thanks!
