In this thread, authors can tell us about their books and readers can tell us about their favorite ones. Another website of interest about books is http://www.ncreview.com.
My name is Amy Herring and I'm a professional astrologer. I've written a book that will be published by Llewellyn around March of next year called Emotional Evolution: Navigating Life with Astrology’s Natal & Progressed Moon.
I have studied with Steven Forrest extensively, so I would heartily recommend any of his books, such as The Inner Sky, The Changing Sky, etc. I also recommend Stephen Arroyo.
A non astrology related book I have recently enjoyed is The Soul's Code.
I am currently reading beckoning:when happiness calls, by Rebecca B. Cooper. I enjoy the positive philosophy espoused but even more, I love the personal stories that Rebecca uses to build her case for choosing the Good by refusing to succumb to its seeming antitheses. It's actually a lot warmer book to read than my tiny review suggests. I hope she sells a million copies!
Thank you, Krysta, for this opportunity to share information about my book with the members of this forum. The name of my book is An Inner Journey: Living Your Life Purpose, which pretty much describes what it's about. More specifically, it's a twelve step program to help identify the essence of your Life Purpose and to then fully integrate it into your life. Subjects covered include:
Personal Boundaries
Core Life Values
Overcoming Fear (and making it your partner for success)
Tools for Planning
Creating Support Systems that Really Work
Self Care and Rewards
This is more than a read-it-in-a-weekend book. It's a guidebook with plenty of exercises to get you started on your true path and to give you continual support you as you step forward into living your Life Purpose.
Hello! My name is Connie Funk and I have written, with the help of my horses, two books about our journey together thus far. They are called, Beauty FromBrokenness--Bits and Pieces of my Path to Wholeness and Holy As Thou--Bittersweet Tales About Remembering to Love. Both are available from my website: http://www.constancefunk.com or from the Publisher, http://www.publishingworks.com or Amazon.com and numerous booksellers. Both books are autobiographical narratives which share how I have found health on every level through my interspecies relationships and how this has become my life path to share with others. Finding peace within, one being at a time, and offering it out into the world.
You will find much more information on my website, or feel free to contact me at: cfunkwoodylanefarm@hughes.net I look forward to hearing from you! Warm wishes, Connie
